She harnessed her powers using resources that were on this island and cultivated the land while building a life for herself that she was happy with. The process was meditative, yet painstaking, as I carefully tore and reshaped the fragments into heart-shaped forms, losing track of time in the process. The final piece is a mesmerizing mosaic of singular, miniature paintings, each heart a unique iteration that refuses repetition. Suspended in a sea of black and glittering resin, the hearts shimmer and undulate as light dances across their surfaces, casting a whimsical glow. This painting is an exploration of the intangible: the value we assign to love, to heartache, and to the fragments of ourselves that we share with others. Can we truly put a price on a labor of love?
